Core Modules
Elective Modules
Find below more details about the Electives.
- Elective Coaching
As part of the elective module, each participant will have the opportunity to engage with a learning coach for a total of 1 hour per elective course. This is OPTIONAL, but highly encouraged.
We recommend the following touchpoints during the elective module:
- 30 mins: Participants can engage with their coach to ask for advice to help prepare for their reflection assignment before the deadline.
- 30 mins: The coach provides feedback on the elective module reflection submission.
- Reflection Paper Assignment
Learners will be submitting a final reflection paper for each chosen elective. This reflection exercise is designed to encourage thoughtful analysis and deeper understanding of the module topic by connecting concepts to personal or professional experiences. Through structured reflection, learners can assess challenges, explore different perspectives, and identify opportunities for growth.
Reflection prompts will be provided as a guide to stimulate your thinking, but they are neither exhaustive nor mandatory. They are intended to inspire creative insights that are relevant to your specific context.
You will be choosing three elective courses from below - within or across streams to support your learning journey.
Sensing Value
Scan for key trends and asses what matters strategically.
Delivering Value
Align structures for quick adaptation to environmental changes.
Sustaining Value
Identify what drives long-term value and meaningful impact for stakeholders.
Effective Decision Making for Leaders
This module is a virtual, interactive learning experience designed to enhance judgment and decision-making skills. This will equip you with practical frameworks from management science and psychology.
There will be 3-half-day synchronous sessions where you will explore data-driven techniques and experimentation methods to refine both individual and team decision-making.
Faculty
This module will be facilitated by Prof. Miguel Sousa Lobo.
Core Project Submission and Seminar
Core Project Assignment
The Core Project Assignment is your opportunity to apply the concepts and skills from your core courses to tackle a real-world challenge within your organization. In this project, you will identify a key issue and use the frameworks and tools from one of the four core courses as the foundation for your solution.
This hands-on experience will deepen your ability to analyze and address practical problems while reinforcing your learning in a real-world context. While the use of one core course is required, you may also incorporate insights from an additional (“minor”) course if relevant.
Before submitting your final Core Project, you will first submit a one-page proposal that clearly defines the problem you aim to solve and outlines your planned approach. A learning coach will then be assigned to provide feedback, helping you refine your strategy and ensure you are on the right track before your final presentation.
To complete the Core Project Assignment, you have to submit the following:
- Concise 12-slide presentation that provides an overview of the problem, outlines your approach using course frameworks, and presents a potential solution supported by data and visuals.
- 3-5 minute video executive summary that identifies the issue you are trying to address in your organisation and potential solution.
Core Project Seminar
After submitting your Core Project, you will participate in the Core Project Seminar, a dynamic platform for sharing insights, exchanging ideas, and engaging in mutual learning. To enrich the experience, you will be grouped thematically with peers working on similar challenges, fostering deeper discussions and meaningful connections across projects.
Core Project Evaluation
The Core Project will be assessed on a Pass/Fail basis by coaches. To achieve a passing grade, your submission must clearly define the problem, demonstrate the application of relevant concepts and tools from at least one core course, and showcase critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You may also incorporate insights from another core course to enhance your solution. Coaches will evaluate only what is submitted in written and video format, so clear and effective communication and presentation is crucial.
Capstone and Graduation
Your Lead the Future journey concludes with a capstone and graduation at INSEAD Fontainebleau campus, bringing you together with other participants in person as community leaders. Over 3 days, your learning will be reinforce through:
- 2-day workshop with live cases
- Half day sector workshop
- Half day graduation
Additional details will be shared with you progressively throughout your Lead the Future journey to ensure you have the information you need at each stage.
