People make INSEAD

Visionary people created INSEAD, and during the past year, people who share our founders’ vision stepped forward in generosity to keep INSEAD strong. Growing participation in various giving opportunities by students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends strengthened our culture of philanthropy and generated vital resources to advance our shared mission. Motivated by the dreams and talents aspiring leaders bring to INSEAD — and by the challenges many face in financing an education — the vast majority of donors directed their gifts to scholarships. Many others gave to the Dean’s Fund, generating unrestricted resources that can be applied where it matters most.

What our community is saying…

Nida Januskis

INSEAD is an extraordinary school because extraordinary people make it so. The impressive skills, experiences, and knowledge of students, faculty, and alumni make our collective enterprise a catalyst for positive change. Lifelong bonds connect us and a profound sense of shared purpose unites us as we look forward. I am proud and grateful to be part of this vibrant community."

As chair of the INSEAD Alumni Fund, I have seen what volunteers and donors can achieve when we all work together. Supporting INSEAD is about much more than raising funds. It’s about nurturing a culture of giving back — investing in resilience, life-changing scholarships, cutting-edge research and academic programmes. With the vast potential of our alumni network, there is so much more we can accomplish."

My INSEAD experience exposed me to the world in new ways, opened up professional opportunities, and blessed me with treasured friendships that have endured since graduation. I am forever grateful to INSEAD for enriching my life beyond measure. And I am committed to giving back so that I can play my small part in ensuring the community that has given me so much can continue to impact the lives of other students."

Giving during our lifetimes allows us to witness the immediate and transformative impact of our investment. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a recipient of our scholarship thrive at INSEAD. In addition, knowing that our fund will continue to change lives for generations to come, sustained by a gift in our will, is the perfect legacy in recognition of our support for INSEAD and access to education."

INSEAD means ‘joy’ in many forms for our family. I met my wife Stéfania at INSEAD, and we had the joy of witnessing our eldest son become a MIM alumnus and my sister Milena, MBA’06D, give a graduation speech. We also have the joy of being part of a wonderful group of friends from our promotion and beyond. Our belief and pride in INSEAD inspire us to give back to our school."

My journey at INSEAD helped me develop my business acumen and form lasting personal connections. I truly believe in the power of education to change lives. Renewing the scholarship I first created in 2019 was an easy decision, seeing the positive impact it has had. I want to ensure more students have the opportunity to join the excellent programme at INSEAD, which transformed my life."

Initially, I had been too busy after graduation to think about supporting the school. Then, after meeting someone from INSEAD who updated me on the latest developments and mentioned giving, I decided to make my first gift. I have been making donations ever since, particularly to scholarships. INSEAD has profoundly changed my life and I want to help more students experience it, so I created my own scholarship last year."

Born and raised in Rwanda, I was fortunate to pursue my undergraduate studies in the United States on a scholarship before returning home to focus my career on social impact and global development. INSEAD represents an opportunity to build on this foundation and expand my expertise in investing and entrepreneurship. This opportunity would not have been possible without the support of my scholarship, and I am deeply grateful."

The vast majority of young Peruvians cannot afford to study for an MBA abroad. Thanks to my scholarship, I now count among the lucky few who have been given this amazing opportunity at INSEAD. My dream is to pivot into management strategy consulting to leverage my career experience and maximise my potential in sustainability projects, with a commitment to creating a positive impact in both environmental and social initiatives."

With wealth and income inequality continuing to accelerate across the world, there is a pressing and fundamental need for increased attention in this area. My wife Cathy and I are pleased to renew our support for INSEAD’s Stone Centre for the Study of Wealth Inequality. The school’s commitment to delivering positive social and environmental outcomes for the world is laudable and can serve as a model for business schools everywhere."

After my short experience at INSEAD in 1997, I knew that I wanted to stay connected with this exemplary and professional business school. During my long involvement as an IAF and NAA volunteer, I was impressed by how the school came to recognise the importance of its alumni. I believe that thanks to this ever-growing group of supporters, ambassadors, and donors, INSEAD will remain The Business School for the World."

Volunteering for INSEAD is not only fun, it’s addictive! Over the last 15 years since we graduated, chairing our reunions has shown me how important our respective class communities are to INSEAD’s success. Rallying my amazing MBA’09Js to ‘give back’ and ‘pay it forward’ collectively, via our class gift, continues to be an energising, bonding experience while creating a clear and lasting impact."

Year after year our class rallies around our fundraising effort for the ‘03D Endowed Scholarship supporting students from developing countries. Focus and persistence pay off over time. We have both made a difference in the lives of our scholars and strengthened our class community through participation and a common goal. For me, being fund chair is a joyful and rewarding experience that I share with the fundraising team and our entire class."
