Message from the Director
Vic Woo Ph.D.
Director of INSEAD San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation
INSEAD's hub in San Francisco opens a new world of opportunities for our community to collaborate and engage with a dynamic ecosystem of innovators.
INSEAD’s global portfolio of programmes will benefit from The Hub’s reach in tech and other ecosystems in the Bay Area.
Some of the programmes coming to the Hub cover topics related to managing digital transformation, leading across borders and cultures, integrating performance and societal progress and implementing Blue Ocean Strategy. These programmes reflect INSEAD research and work with international executives and organisations around the world.
The Business School for The World
As one of the world’s leading and largest graduate business schools, INSEAD brings together people, cultures and ideas to develop responsible leaders who transform business and society. Our research, teaching and partnerships reflect this global perspective and cultural diversity.

INSEAD has been a global leader in business education and research for six decades. We launched the world’s first one year MBA in Fontainebleau, France in 1959. In the year 2000, we opened the Asia Campus in Singapore and became the first business school with campuses on two continents. Our Middle East Campus in Abu Dhabi opened in 2010 with innovation in focus. The San Francisco Hub in North America is our latest venture, a space to forge connections and build on 60 years of excellence.
Historically, INSEAD has opened locations at the right place at the right time in centers of growth and innovation. The opening of the San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation adds to INSEAD’s solid track record of firsts over its 60-year history.
Connecting to Your Potential
INSEAD fosters enduring relationships and transformative opportunities. The Hub empowers you to strengthen your connection with the world and your leadership identity. It provides an inclusive space to engage with a diverse community, expand your horizons through classes and events, and broaden perspectives with new knowledge and experiences.
Connecting to the Bay Area
INSEAD embraces global citizenship, and each location draws inspiration, expertise, and connections to shape distinct offerings. The Hub, akin to the Bay Area, embodies the region's tenacity, innovation, and vibrant energy. Independence, entrepreneurial spirit, and diversity are intrinsic values ingrained in both INSEAD's DNA and the community.
Connecting to the Alumni Network
The Hub is an investment in strengthening the alumni network and the sense of belonging. As both a physical gathering space and digital platform, the Hub is a place for our community to meet, connect and collaborate.
Executives will be able to experience the immersive INSEAD learning methods, gain access to pathbreaking global research and professors, and gain exposure to the unique companies and culture of Silicon Valley.
In turn, the Hub is an investment that strengthens the global INSEAD network, which includes more than 64,000 alumni, 165 professors and business leaders in diverse sectors and markets around the world. It will also connect this immense diversity with the Bay Area community to shape its unique offerings and approach.
