Programme Overview
The Tsinghua – INSEAD Executive MBA (TIEMBA) programme is a unique partnership between INSEAD, one of the world's leading business schools, and Tsinghua, one of China’s most prestigious universities. The executive master degree programme takes place across INSEAD’s three campuses in Singapore, Abu Dhabi (UAE), and Fontainebleau (France), and Tsinghua’s university campus in Beijing (China).
The 22-month programme, consisting of 12 core courses, 4 elective courses, Key Management Challenges courses, and a thesis, is designed for senior executives who want to learn the practical knowledge and soft skills required to excel in both East and West. You will exchange perspectives within an elite, dynamic, culturally diverse class of experienced managers and be part of two powerful alumni networks. The TIEMBA is where life-changing leadership development meets technical mastery of key business disciplines. And both make an immediate impact in your organisation. It is the best of East and West, learning and working, technical knowledge and soft skills — in a single programme.

Each student will spend approximately 12 weeks of on-campus classes. Among which, half will be spent in China (6 weeks) in the prestigious Tsinghua University.

MASTERCLASS
Earnings Quality by Professor Daniel Bens
All corporations have a story. The story includes a plot (strategy), a conflict (competition), and character development (operations that execute the strategy). A firm tells its story in financial terms via its accounting reports. In the Financial Accounting core course at INSEAD participants develop their accounting literacy skills so that they may better understand that story. You will not become an accountant, but rather a knowledgeable consumer of financial information.
In this masterclass we will cover a typical case from the core course that deals with the concept of Earnings Quality. Accounting earnings are one input used to assess firm value, and recently reported numbers serve as a baseline for those forecasts. At the same time, earnings can be used as a monitoring tool to assess the success or failure of past tactical decisions. Yet not all earnings components are equally useful. We will discuss this nuance during the class.

INSEAD Europe Campus is located on the edge of the Forest of Fontainebleau and just a stone's throw away from the town centre. It lies within easy reach of all major airports and rail systems connecting Paris with the rest of the world.
