Two Degrees, Two Prestigious Schools, One Life-Changing Experience
Positioned at the crossroads of two influential business school networks, TIEMBA provides a strong East-meets-West management education combined with rich global networks.
As a participant of two prestigious business schools, INSEAD and Tsinghua, you will experience unparalleled multicultural perspectives and gain insights into some of the world's most dynamic regions.
Two Prestigious Schools
Tsinghua University
To study at Tsinghua University is to join an institution whose history is intertwined with China’s extraordinary economic growth story of the last few decades. In fact, the founding dean of the School of Economics and Management (SEM), Professor Zhu Rongji, went on to become China’s fifth Premier in 1998. Today his vision of a school where China’s business elite could learn about best global practice and its implementation in the Chinese economy is a reality. Tsinghua SEM has become one of the world’s most acclaimed business schools: a magnet for entrepreneurial activities and outstanding professionals from throughout China and beyond.
INSEAD
INSEAD is one of the world’s largest and highest-ranked graduate business schools. More importantly, it’s a unique environment that brings together people and ideas from different cultures to change lives and transform organisations. A global perspective and cultural diversity are reflected in all aspects of its research and teaching across three equal-status campuses in three world regions. Every year, INSEAD’s 145 expert faculty from more than 40 countries inspire over 1,300 master participants, while more than 10,000 executives are drawn to its campuses to participate in Executive Education.
Unique TIEMBA Experience Across Five Campuses
The TIEMBA programme spans 5 campuses across China (Beijing and Shenzhen), Singapore, Fontainebleau, and Abu Dhabi.
5 Weeks in Beijing, China (Tsinghua)
In the idyllic setting of the former Qing Dynasty royal garden in northwest Beijing, this famously beautiful campus blends traditional Chinese and modern Western architecture with restful green spaces and expanses of water. It’s also at the heart of the city’s academic Haidian district.
3 Weeks in Singapore (INSEAD)
INSEAD’s Asia Campus is just 10 minutes away from Singapore's Central Business District. With some of the world's most prestigious companies locating their Asia headquarters in Singapore, INSEAD is poised for easy access to thriving businesses in this high-growth region.
2 Weeks in Fontainebleau, France (INSEAD)
On the outskirts of charming, historic Fontainebleau – but less than an hour from the bustling centre of Paris, INSEAD’s original campus nestles in one of Europe’s most beautiful forests. It is the perfect place to step back from your demanding professional life and focus on your personal development.
1 Week in Abu Dhabi (INSEAD)
INSEAD’s Middle East campus is located at ADGM square on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s new international financial centre, and a vibrant business and lifestyle destination. Purposely designed for executives to learn, this presents a whole new world of possibilities for management education.
1 Week in Shenzhen, China (Tsinghua)
The Shenzhen campus brings Tsinghua University's historical presence and first-tier business education programmes to the country's south and benefits from the dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit of the thriving city. The proximity to Hong Kong, a world financial hub provides unmatched opportunities for the campus community.
Foster Meaningful Connections Through TIEMBA Class Activities
During the programme, you will learn as much from the diverse cultural, geographical and professional experiences of your classmates as from the world-class faculty. You will forge close friendships that will never be broken, particularly with the other members of your Leadership Development Group. In addition, INSEAD’s Global Executive MBA and Executive Master in Finance classes and INSEAD's alumni will join you for the two-week module of elective courses, held in Fontainebleau during the summer, which means that you will bond with an even more diverse group of classmates.
The Power of Diversity
In today’s increasingly globalised markets, what better to give you an edge than an international outlook and global network? Imagine the impact on your career of joining the global TIEMBA community:
- Engage with faculty from among the world’s greatest business thinkers. Immerse yourself in TIEMBA class activities and develop new perspectives and insights to tackle real-life business challenges.
- Not one but two unparalleled TIEMBA alumni networks – covering China and the entire world
- TIEMBA participants from all cultures, industries and business functions
Our world-class faculty are the foundation of the TIEMBA programme. It goes without saying that they are leaders in their academic fields. But they’re also adept at passing on their insights and applying them to business practice. They know how to get the best out of a diverse class of successful and international executives. And, alongside business theories and concepts, they always present practical tools and international examples of best practice.
Graduating with an Executive MBA degree from both Tsinghua and INSEAD is a beginning rather than an end. It is also the point where multiple alumni networks meet, offering lifelong professional support and friendship. TIEMBA alumni stay in close contact and hold regular informal reunions, as well as returning to Tsinghua and INSEAD for official TIEMBA alumni events. All alumni are invited back to the elective courses each year, which helps to forge new links and reinforce the TIEMBA community.
Networking Opportunities with The Tsinghua & INSEAD Alumni Association
The Tsinghua Alumni Association
Tsinghua has more than 170,000 alumni, who are supported through a vast network with organised groups in more than 100 Chinese cities and more than 30 countries. The strength of this community derives from the strong sense of belonging to Tsinghua, an institution that has a unique position in Chinese society and global prestige.
The INSEAD Alumni Association
INSEAD has more than 70,500 alumni distributed across 179 countries, and the INSEAD Alumni Association is a highly active network with 49 individual National Alumni Associations (NAAs) running regular events. It is one of the most globally distributed alumni associations in existence, which means that you will have INSEAD contacts wherever you travel in the world. Closer to home, even if you don’t have an NAA, you may find there are informal local gatherings in your country or city.
