Transforming senior executives into insightful and impactful senior leaders
Trends, change, strategy, bottom line – these are just some of the factors that govern and have the power to make or break today’s businesses. To be successful, leaders need to consider new – and often confronting – ways of thinking, exercising judgement to make decisions and motivating their people.
Our Advanced Management Programme is a comprehensive General Management programme designed to help C-Suite leaders build exceptional levels of strategic, high-performance and self-aware leadership skills. It also focuses on both your organisational and personal impact as a leader.
Leadership is not a destination but a journey. Accordingly, the Advanced Management Programme is designed to be a transformative experience within a life-long leadership and learning journey with close, structured contact over the first year and looser networked contact thereafter.
How you benefit
- Gain global insights. Through real case studies and explorations, your assumptions are challenged and you gain new perspectives.
- Actionable knowledge. Harness information you already have into workable action plans.
- Achieve greater confidence. Develop confidence in your knowledge by testing your assumptions and making them more robust.
The Advanced Management Programme is designed for senior executives, including CEOs, COOs, CFOs and heads of product divisions, geographical regions or other major business units within the private or public sectors.
They will have a minimum of 5 years' senior executive general management experience as part of at least 12 years' management experience.
Senior executives without current managerial responsibilities and business consultants with senior-level client experience are invited to discuss their candidacy with the programme advisor.
The Advanced Management Programme Director and Admissions Committee will personally evaluate each application based on leadership achievements, current level of responsibility and commitment to learning and self- development.
On leaving the Advanced Management Programme, you become a full member of the INSEAD alumni community, which is open only to graduates of our world-famous MBA and other degree programmes, as well as selected former Executive Education participants.
This elite worldwide network consists of over 57,000 alumni in around 172 countries, many with very active National Alumni Associations. As part of the alumni community, you benefit from lifelong networking and professional development opportunities, including regional events, refresher programmes and reduced rates for all Executive Education.
This programme qualifies for the INSEAD Certificate in Global Management.
“When leaders are more effective communicators, they are more likely to be effective change agents...and most importantly, they are likely to motivate and inspire others.” Ian Woodward, Professor of Management Practice
“Every leader has their own, personal set of values and they come into every action, decision and behaviour we do as leaders.” Ian Woodward, Professor of Management Practice
“You get a unique chance to reflect. You get a set of learning and insight that you would not get any other way and you get a perspective on yourself that you will never have gotten before.” Jim Strang on his Advanced Management Programme Experience.
The Advanced Management Programme is an intensive, comprehensive learning and development experience. It gives participants the space to reflect about their leadership, their context and what they are truly trying to achieve.
The Advanced Management Programme is organised around 3 key themes: becoming a strategic leader, a high-performance leader and a self-aware leader.
Vice President of Commercial Excellence EMEA with Baxter International, Josep Sitjes, shrares about his experience of the Advanced Management Programme; a “pit stop” and a timely reminder that it takes more than good execution to be a truly effective leader.
Leaders collect vast amounts of knowledge, but if there is one area of expertise they must develop, it is the art of making the judgment call. Decision-making doesn’t come from models, it comes from practice.
The ability to identify and communicate values is critical to self-awareness and leadership development.
Should large asset managers be subjected to the same scrutiny as banks and insurers? The industry says financial giants like BlackRock pose no threat to the marketplace. But our research tells a very different story.
