Finance - Academic Areas

Finance

The Finance area is committed to producing first class theoretical and empirical research, while maintaining teaching quality and entrepreneurial spirit in the development of new teaching programmes.
Our goal is to be innovative in developing a truly international group with no dominant national culture.
The Finance area group consists of 18 resident faculty members, 11 residing in Fontainebleau, and 7 residing in Singapore, who regularly teach cross-campus.
We run an active seminar series, inviting scholars from around the world. We also devote significant resources to an internationally recognized PhD Programme.

Faculty Recruitment

INSEAD’s Finance Department invites applications for faculty positions at all levels (assistant, associate and full) on both Fontainebleau and Singapore campuses. The search is for full-time, tenure track positions starting September 2024.

As one of the world's leading and largest graduate business schools, INSEAD offers participants a truly global educational experience. With locations in Europe (France), Asia (Singapore), the Middle East (Abu Dhabi) and North America (San Francisco) and alliances with top institutions, INSEAD's business education and research spans the globe. The school's 162 renowned Faculty members from 40 countries inspire more than 1,300 students in our degree and PhD programmes. In addition, more than 11,000 executives participate in INSEAD's Executive Education programmes each year.

Candidates should have a strong commitment to produce the highest quality research, publishable in top academic journals and they should demonstrate the ability to teach at the MBA, MIM, and PhD levels. They must have a PhD in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines, or expect to complete all requirements for a PhD during the current academic year. Applicants as Associate/Full Professors should have demonstrated research and teaching excellence.

Applications should include a cover letter, a complete CV, three letters of recommendation, a job market paper, and any recent publications/working papers. Research and teaching statement are optional. Please also specify whether you are interested in Fontainebleau, Singapore, or both. Please submit your application by 15 November 2023 to ensure full consideration. If you need any information, please contact us at [email protected]

We value diversity and strongly encourage applications from individuals from all identities and backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from female candidates and members of other underrepresented groups in the field of finance.

Interviews will take place via Zoom at the beginning of December and flyouts will be in person in one of our campuses
