Purpose and Objective

Good governance is more than just rules and regulation – it is about orchestrating the delicate balance between an organization and its stakeholders; creating countervailing powers where necessary and providing support where needed. ICGC Board Council Members

The INSEAD Corporate Governance Council brings together a powerful network of globally respected board directors to work with INSEAD’s Corporate Governance Faculty (link to faculty overview). These individuals serve on some of the world’s most influential boards and have been invited not only for their experience, but for their ability to challenge, shape, and elevate the future of governance.

The Council was created to bridge the gap between boardroom practice and academic insight. As the demands on boards grow more complex, we believe the most impactful ideas emerge at the intersection of theory and experience.

To that end, Council members actively contribute to INSEAD research and teaching, and they collaborate with faculty to create new, multidisciplinary, and often counterintuitive perspectives on the most pressing issues facing boards today.

Their insights ensure that our work remains both intellectually rigorous and grounded in the realities of board leadership. Through this unique collaboration, we aim to strengthen board effectiveness, reshape governance conversations, and advance business as a force for good.

Below, we are pleased to introduce the Council members:
