Additional Information

Biography

Kathrin is holding a Degree in Business Administration ( Diplom- Kaufmann)  from  Göttingen university.

All throughout her career she worked in various dimensions of finance and in companies with international activities:

She started in 1985 within the Controlling of  Beiersdorf  AG, a leading global skin care company. Her last position here was Group Treasurer. Following a US- acquisition where she worked on the Beiersdorf- team, she was interested to learn more about doing transactions. So her next role was in Investment Banking and M&A at a large German bank..

Back on the industry side of the table, she worked for a family owned business in the orthopaedic device sector: Otto Bock Holding GmbH & Co. KG  where she was Managing Director responsible for Financing but also for the Family Office. When she was asked to join M-Dax listed machine tool building company, GILDEMEISTER  AG, Bielefeld (Today: DMG Mori Seiki AG) she was pleased to work for a listed company again and was appointed  Chief Financial Officer in 2010.

There were more CFO Positions to follow: CFO of a large and diversified Family owned company Wilh. Werhahn KG. Its activities included consumer goods, building materials as well as banking and leasing.  At OSRAM Licht AG  she could support and execute some of the restructuring that was being done there. Her next CFO appointment brought her back to Ottobock where she should take the company public. Unfortunately, the IPO was called off due to the weak market situation.

Kathrin is today  focussing on non- executive board positions: some of them are companies with strong families as main shareholders:

B.Braun SE, Knorr-Bremse AG and Jungheinrich AG,  where she is Chairwomen of the Audit Committees.

She holds board positions at Fraport AG and  Aurubis AG.
