INSEAD is watching the invasion of Ukraine with disbelief, anger and sadness. Our founder, Georges Doriot, envisioned INSEAD as an international business school to promote peace and prosperity. This war goes against basic human rights, and certainly against the core values of our community. In light of this extraordinary situation, INSEAD has taken the decision to suspend Executive Education Company Specific Programmes for Russian companies.
INSEAD also offers our full support to all members of our community and their families who are affected at this difficult time. Many of you have asked how best to assist those suffering as a result of the ongoing crisis. Know that the school is working in close partnership with the INSEAD Alumni Association to identify the best ways that our community can help channel their support to best meet the needs on the ground. Please refer to the end of this message for ways you can support.
We are also calling on our community to continue to operate with respect, and refrain from stigmatising or excluding individuals based on their country of origin. Leading and responding with empathy will allow us to remain united rather than cause further divisions. Instead, as a global community, we should continue to promote dialogue and the value of learning from one another.
We hope for a swift and peaceful outcome to this current situation and express our solidarity and support for all the people of Ukraine and for all those who have been adversely affected by this war.
Ways you can support:
The United Nations and humanitarian partners have launched coordinated emergency appeals for a combined US$1.7 billion to urgently deliver humanitarian support to people in Ukraine and to refugees who have relocated to neighbouring countries. Donations to the UN Humanitarian Fund are one of the quickest and most effective ways to directly support urgent humanitarian relief on the ground.
