INSEAD, the business school for the world and founding academic partner of ChangeNOW, announces today its partnership with Cartier for the 6th edition of ChangeNOW, a three-day summit that brings together innovative solutions and impactful changemakers to tackle the planet’s biggest challenges.

ChangeNOW 2023 will focus on fostering coalitions and partnership-building, as well as supporting biodiversity and impact entrepreneurship. The event is set to bring together over 35,000 of the world’s leading thinkers to discuss solutions on issues of climate, resources, biodiversity and inclusion, and is held at the Grand Palais Ephémère (Paris) from 25 to 27 May.

INSEAD and Cartier are building on their strong connection established since the launch of the Cartier Women’s Initiative (CWI) to  join forces at ChangeNOW. Both organisations are deeply committed to driving change and positively influencing practices in our society to build a better world for future generations.

During the Summit, INSEAD and Cartier will host an Impact Entrepreneurship Reunion, gathering more than 80 graduates from INSEAD’s impact entrepreneurship programmes from around the world. The reunion aims to encourage exchanges of the latest knowledge and experiences, forge a stronger social entrepreneurship ecosystem by promoting peer learning, support social entrepreneurs in growing their impact, and bring additional and diverse solutions to the ChangeNOW audience.

The Reunion will feature various speakers including Jasjit Singh, Professor of Strategy and The Paul Dubrule Chaired Professor of Sustainable Development at INSEAD, Katell Le Goulven, Executive Director of INSEAD Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society, and Kevin Tayebaly (MBA'15J), Co-Founder & Chief Development Officer of ChangeNOW and Wingee Sampaio, the Global Programme Director of the Cartier Women's Initiative (CWI).

A selection of nine top entrepreneurial ventures are invited to present their business during the Reunion. They are:  Tierra de Monte, Natakallam , Saathi, CloQ , Bare Necessities, Sehat Kahani, Hive Network, Green Bamboo and Social Founder.

The reunion will also see the launch of the INSEAD Hans H. Wahl Impact Entrepreneurship Programme which aims to equip impact entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and resources to create positive social and environmental impact in their communities.

On the main stage of the ChangeNOW Summit, INSEAD and Cartier’s representatives will discuss solutions to issues of environmental and social challenges and highlight the importance of collaboration to have a positive impact.

  • Peter Zemsky, INSEAD's Deputy Dean and Dean of Innovation, will moderate a thought-provoking and informative panel “Reducing Carbon Emissions”, on the importance of decreasing carbon footprint  and promoting sustainable business practices. The session features a keynote by Maya Hari, CEO of Terrascope, a roundtable discussion with Thibault Desmarest, CEO of GSK France, Bruno Bonnell (France 2030), and Jean-Benoît Besset, Head of Corporate Societal Responsibility of Orange.
  • "Nature-Based Solutions: Regenerating Ecosystems”, moderated by INSEAD’s Katell Le Goulven. The session will begin with Julien Semelin, Head of Environment Investments at Cartier for Nature and Fabien Quétier, Head of Landscapes at Rewilding Europe, a partner of Cartier for Nature. Cartier for Nature’s mission is to help protect biodiversity and healthy ecosystems for present and future generations, so that nature continues to be a source of inspiration.  Thus, this session will point out the crucial need to develop concrete solutions to help protect, restore and sustainably manage ecosystem for the benefits of human well-being and biodiversity, and will mainly focus on the rewilding approach which aims at boosting biodiversity and local economy by the reintroduction of iconic animals and the support of the ecosystems’ restoration. This first part will be then followed by more conversations gathering prominent environment and sustainability experts.
  • Anouchka Didier-Mansour, International Sustainability Director at Cartier, will join a fireside chat centered around the power of collaboration with the moderator, Joss Ford, founder of Enviral, a BCorp certified structure in communication. Anouchka will discuss how creating industry coalitions can lead to lasting change, through examples of multi-stakeholder collaborations Cartier founded to strengthen global efforts towards a more sustainable industry, ensuring it creates positive outcomes for the planet and for people.
