Partnership between business schools has strengthened the competitiveness of Brazilian executives and companies
In 2025, Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) celebrates 35 years of its alliance with INSEAD, one of the world’s most renowned business schools. This partnership led to the creation of the Advanced Management Program (PGA), a pioneering initiative that, since 1990, has connected Brazilian executives to cutting-edge management practices and a global network of leaders.
The PGA was born at a time of profound transformation: Brazil was opening its economy, and companies needed to prepare to compete internationally. The partnership between FDC and INSEAD anticipated this demand, offering participants access to frontier knowledge, multicultural experiences, and the academic seal of international prestige.
'Celebrating this 35-year journey is about reaffirming our commitment to take Brazil to the world and bring the world to Brazil. Today, in the face of unprecedented, increasingly interdependent and complex contemporary issues, partnerships between schools, as well as between academia, business, and the public sector, are vital. We need to develop leaders in companies, governments, and civil society who are capable of helping the world better address humanity’s challenges and thus build futures with greater economic, environmental, and social prosperity,' says Antonio Batista da Silva Junior, CEO of FDC.
Over the past three decades, more than one thousand Brazilian and international executives have taken part in the program, consolidating a global community that connects markets, shares experiences, and broadens horizons. Beyond the academic experience, participants gain access to an international alumni network from INSEAD and FDC, strengthening their professional trajectories and the competitiveness of their organizations.
According to Francisco Veloso, Dean of INSEAD, the school has seen remarkable growth in executive education with Brazilian companies in recent years, reinforcing its ties with board members and senior executives across the country. 'This journey is anchored in the solid alliance with FDC through the PGA, and it is with great pride that we celebrate this transformative and enduring partnership, which has contributed to the development of business leadership in Brazil for 35 years.'
