Gift supports INSEAD’s Human and Machine Intelligence Institute (HUMII) and strengthens immersive AI learning experiences at the San Francisco Hub.
INSEAD, The Business School for the World, today announced a significant philanthropic commitment from Bansi Nagji MBA’93J to support the continued development of the Human and Machine Intelligence Institute (HUMII) and the INSEAD San Francisco Hub for Business and Innovation. The gift will advance AI-related research and education across INSEAD’s curriculum and enable immersive learning experiences in San Francisco, primarily for MBA students, with the potential to benefit participants across other degree programmes.
As AI accelerates change across industries, organisations increasingly rely on rigorous, globally informed research to understand how human and machine intelligence can work together. While humans bring context, experience and judgement, AI contributes speed, precision and analytical power.
Launched in early 2025, HUMII brings these strengths together to enhance decision-making and performance across business and society. Guided by four core pillars — Research, Education, AI Adoption and Leadership (R.E.A.L.) — the Institute brings together faculty across disciplines. It equips leaders with the insight and tools needed to navigate the AI era with clarity, confidence and purpose, ensuring that technological progress supports responsible decision-making and human-centred leadership.
“We are deeply grateful to Bansi Nagji for his generosity and his strong belief in INSEAD’s mission,” said Lily Fang, Dean of Research and Innovation and academic leader of HUMII. “This gift comes at an important moment for HUMII and allows us to further integrate AI into our research and teaching, while creating meaningful, immersive learning experiences at the San Francisco Hub.”
By supporting both HUMII and the San Francisco Hub, Bansi Nagji’s contribution reinforces INSEAD’s strategy of connecting rigorous academic research with real-world impact at the heart of Silicon Valley.
Bansi Nagji MBA’93J is currently CEO of PANTHERx, one of the leading rare disease specialty pharmacies in the United States, and a former President of Healthcare at GoodRx, where he remains a Senior Advisor. Sharing the school’s conviction that research and education are essential to advancing responsible, human-centred innovation, Bansi has been a loyal supporter of INSEAD for nearly 25 years. He served on the Campaign Board during the Force for Good campaign, supported the launch of the INSEAD San Francisco Hub as a Founding Donor, funded scholarships, and now serves as a Member of the INSEAD Board.
