With a 30-year track record of sustainable business development projects more than 40 countries for UNDP, Artak Melkonyan specializes in finance for the SDGs through engagement with the private sector using innovative impact-focused financial frameworks. He leads UNDP’s global Impact Venture Accelerator initiative and oversees engagement with several funds and blended finance initiatives. Artak’s previous experience includes management roles in a venture philanthropy, multinational financial and credit institutions, private equity, banking and government. He has also taught at universities in Armenia, France and Thailand. Artak holds Masters degrees from the American University of Armenia and State Engineering University of Armenia, and complemented atop-tier executive education programs from INSEAD and Georgetown University.
