Pratik began his career in finance but soon shifted to the vibrant startup scene in India, where he built and sold his startup. Following its acquisition, he led product and technology at OYO Hotels and then at Flipkart, where he managed products spanning supply, credit, and payments. His industry experience sparked a deeper interest in decision-making and systemic biases, prompting a transition into academia. He has since worked as a research assistant under Professors Eric Uhlmann (INSEAD) and Clément Sire (CNRS), contributing to projects on discrimination in hiring, machine learning modelling of human behaviour, and collective motion. His current research focuses on the intersection of social identity, organisational decision-making, culture and systemic inequality.
