During her undergraduate studies, Büşra spent a semester at Eindhoven University of Technology as an Erasmus student and completed her thesis on machine learning-based promotional strategies in e-commerce. She interned at Erbakır, a copper wire manufacturer, and Nielsen, a global market research firm. After graduating, she worked at Trendyol Group, Turkey’s leading e-commerce platform, as an Operations Business Intelligence Specialist, focusing on strategy, analytics, and process development. To gain research experience before pursuing a PhD, she joined INSEAD as a predoctoral associate at the Sustainable Business Initiative, working with Professors Atalay Atasu and Luk Van Wassenhove. There, she has been involved in an empirical research project conducted in collaboration with a modular smartphone company, examining the drivers of product longevity in sustainable consumer electronics. She is interested in empirical research that generates actionable managerial insights, with a strong interest in modeling. She aims to work at the intersection of Marketing and Operations Management, bridging supply- and demand-side perspectives in complex business environments.
