INSEAD private equity club hosts inaugural panel discussion in Asia

The INSEAD Private Equity Club (IPEC) hosted the Inaugural IPEC Private Equity Panel Discussion on ‘Investing in Asia: Opportunities and Challenges’ on 17 April 2008 at the Asia campus in Singapore.

The panel was moderated by INSEAD Affiliate Professor of Accounting and Control and Business Law, Jacob Cohen. Panellists featured were Anil Ahuja, Co-Head 3i Asia; Joseph Stevens, Global Head Principal Finance, Standard Chartered Bank; Stephen Panizza, Head of Financing, Asia, Macquarie Group; and Anand Balasubrahmanyan, Director, South East Asia, The Carlyle Group.

More than 80 INSEAD alumni and guests from Asia attended the panel discussion.

‘We are very pleased with the extraordinary turn out and excellent feedback received,’ said INSEAD Dean Frank Brown. ‘The event reinforces INSEAD’s and IPEC’s role as one of the premier knowledge communities for the Private Equity industry.’

IPEC also hosts the largest Private Equity conference in Europe in May every year.
