INSEAD Jeanne Sauvé Scholarship

About Scholarship

The INSEAD Jeanne Sauvé Scholarship was established in 2025 thanks to the generous support of the Jeanne Sauvé Foundation. The mission of the Jeanne Sauvé Foundation is to connect, engage and empower a new generation of public leaders in Canada and around the world to address key global challenges. This unique scholarship helps to shape business leaders who believe in the power of business to tackle societal challenges and create positive changes. It is awarded to Canadian MBA candidates with finance or business backgrounds who demonstrate a clear vision and proven commitment to driving meaningful change — whether in business, public policy, social impact, or environmental sustainability. Their past professional performance will allow to identify them as change agents. First preference will be given to female candidates. The scholarship targets candidates who are not only ambitious and forward-thinking, but who have already taken steps to challenge the status quo in their communities or organizations. Recipients are expected to embody the values of innovation, resilience, and leadership. It is the Foundation’s hope that the recipients of this award will consider INSEAD in their future philanthropic plans as on-going support from alumni and friends is vital to the school’s continued success. About the Right Honourable Jeanne Sauvé, a Women of Firsts: Jeanne Sauvé was the first women MP from Québec to become a cabinet minister, Canada’s first female speaker of the House, and the first female governor general, becoming the 23rd Governor General of Canada. Madame Sauvé always believed deeply in the power and potential of Youth. She chose as her legacy to establish a Foundation which would foster leadership opportunities for young people and establish networks of national and international associations for generations to come. “A leader must dream of changing the world. He must have an inspired vision of the changes he wants to make and be prepared to consecrate all his energy to that purpose. A capacity to communicate his objectives is indispensable to sustain the enthusiasm of his collaborators and their perseverance in action” -Jeanne Sauvé (1922 – 1993).
