He became one of the four managing partners of the Worms group in 1979. He served also on the boards of several corporations throughout his career. Claude’s wife Tuulikki was a Finnish diplomat, and when they married Doriot who considered Claude as a son, told her, “Claude has to take care of INSEAD, so you too!” So together they worked for the constant development of INSEAD and had the great pleasure to see INSEAD MBA ranked by Financial Times N° 1 in the world. When in 2021 Claude Janssen passed away, Ilian Mihov the Dean of INSEAD described his outstanding work and accomplishments: “Claude has done for INSEAD more than anyone else. To quote Doriot, our founder: Without action, the world would still be an idea. In Boston Harvard professor Georges Doriot had the idea, and Claude was the action that made INSEAD happen. Without Claude, INSEAD would not exist. Our entire community owes Claude and Tuulikki an immeasurable debt of gratitude.” * The exact amount of the award may be adjusted depending on each candidate’s financial situation.
