Membership Information

The information that follows applies Fitness Centre members on the INSEAD Europe campus.

  1. Please bring along your INSEAD ID card (badge) for verification, registration and access to the Fitness Centre.
  2. Membership fees (when applicable) are to be paid upon registration.
    No refunds are possible. In the event of an exceptional closure of the Fitness Centre (for repair work for example), membership will be extended to cover for the time of closure.
  3. This Membership is non-transferable.
  4. The Fitness Centre is open to members 7 days a week from 6.30 am to 10 pm. Staff is present from 6.30 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday (weekends: access control)
    The Fitness Centre will be closed for annual maintenance and repairs in August. Exact dates will be communicated in advance.
  5. The Work-out Room cannot be reserved. Classes organised by the Fitness Centre take priority.
  6. Members are required to wear suitable sportswear; this includes clean sports shoes that are used for indoor activities only.
    Members who do outdoor sporting activities are requested to clean the excess dirt from their shoes before re-entering the building.
  7. Members are encouraged to bring their own towel.
    Towels are available at the fitness centre reception when staff are present.
  8. Members must have their own personal liability insurance coverage.
  9. Use of the exercise equipment remains the responsibility of the member. INSEAD cannot be held responsible for any accidents.
    Members under the age of 18 may access the Centre alone only during the hours of staff presence. They must be accompanied by the parent Fitness member should they wish to attend after 8 pm or at weekends.
  10. Members must treat each other with respect.
  11. Personal belongings should not be left unattended; Individual lockers are at your disposal. Please ensure you use a padlock.
  12. The Fitness Centre declines all responsibility in the event of theft, vandalism or any other damage which may occur to property or people within its premises.
  13. Like the INSEAD campus, the Fitness Centre is a No-Smoking zone.
    This includes e-cigarette devices
  14. The Sauna is a mixed area and members are required to wear a swim-suit.

I understand that the sole purpose of the INSEAD Fitness Centre is to establish my health and fitness status through basic evaluation of my heart rate, blood pressure, strength and endurance level. The results will provide the basis for specific recommendation to upgrade my health and fitness.

I therefore accept ALL responsibility and liability whatsoever for any injury or health consequences that may occur as a result of my participation at this Fitness Centre and will not hold INSEAD Fitness Centre and its staff responsible.
