Philipp Meyer-Doyle is an Assistant Professor of Strategy at INSEAD. He holds a PhD and a Master of Science degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BSc from the London School of Economics. His expertise lies in the areas of corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic alliances.
His research explores the micro-foundations of strategy and superior firm performance. His research has been published in premier journals such as the Strategic Management Journal or Organization Science. He has won prestigious awards for his research from leading academic management and strategy associations, including the AOM BPS Robert Litschert Award. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Strategic Management Journal.
Philipp is an award-winning teacher at INSEAD. He teaches in INSEAD’s executive education programs, the EMBA program, the MBA program and the PhD program. He is directing INSEAD’s flagship open enrolment executive program on M&As and Corporate Strategy. He has taught on corporate strategy, M&As, strategic alliances and JVs, as well as strategic management at different levels (executives, EMBAs, MBAs, PhDs) on different continents. His teaching fuses academic rigour and insights with practical knowledge and applications.
Before becoming an academic, Philipp worked in investment banking (M&A advisory) and private equity.
