About Ji-Yub (Jay) Kim

Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise

Ji-Yub (Jay) Kim is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise at INSEAD. His research centers on organisational learning and its implications on organisational performance and evolution. His research interests also include mergers and acquisitions, community influences, ecosystem, and corporate entrepreneurship, and technology and innovation. He has published in leading academic journals including American Sociological Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal. He served on the editorial review boards of leading journals including Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, and Organization Science.

He teaches a broad spectrum of strategy, innovation and organisation topics including strategy formulation and execution, technology and digital strategy, creative destruction and business model innovation, value innovation, organizational transformation, corporate entrepreneurship, and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience in designing, directing, and teaching customized executive development programmes for clients from a broad ranges of industries and geographies. His current and former clients include Ajinomoto, Samsung, Otsuka, Edge Group, Bank Aljazira, SAP, AmBank, MISC, RGE, HLB, Mitsubishi Corporation, Nike, Takeda, Mizuho Bank, Banpu, and OCBC. He is a regular recipient of Award for Outstanding Teaching and Programme Direction for Executive Education.
