Family business module for Master and PhD programmes
As part of the MBA programme, students can select the Family Businesses and Enterprises elective to understand and address issues unique to families in business, such as ownership, succession, and family relations.
Based on real cases and focus on experiential learning, students will exposed to personal discovery, application and through active participation and exchange uncover deeper insights into the workings of family enterprise characteristics and dynamics.
Family business falls under the Entrepreneurship research at INSEAD which seeks to understand the creation and growth of new organisations and markets, the renewal of existing companies, the creation of new businesses within existing firms, innovation, and family business in a global world. The area conducts research from the lens of management fields such as organisation theory and strategy and social science disciplines such as sociology, economics and psychology. It addresses the challenges and opportunities of building and developing new business as a mechanism for value creation.
Company Specific Programmes
An INSEAD Company Specific Programme is tailor-made to ensure that you and your team are primed to meet the unique challenges your organisation faces. If, due to time constraints or concern about confidentiality, you feel that your business or your family would not get the most out of an open enrolement programme, we are happy to devise a programme tailored specifically to your objectives and needs.
Our specialist family business faculty has extensive experience in the development of tailor-made programmes for family businesses and other companies (e.g. advisory firms to family firms).
