Biography

Tomomichi (Tomi) Hattori is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Creattura, a clim startup based in Tokyo. Creattura is a distinctive company that advances the development of carbon credit projects both within Japan and internationally, leveraging technology to enhance the creation and sales of carbon credits.

Tomi holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Nagoya University and an Executive MBA from the Tsinghua-INSEAD dual degree program. He began his career in the consulting industry before transitioning to the carbon market in 2010. Tomi is recognized as one of the pioneers in Japan's carbon business.

Zachary Brown is the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Creattura, a Tokyo-based climate startup. He is leading the development of a digital data platform aimed at providing full traceability and transparency into the climate impact of carbon projects, initially focusing on satellite observation of sustainable rice agriculture.

Zach earned his bachelor's degree in Asian Studies from the University of California at Berkeley and later graduated from the Global Executive MBA program at INSEAD. After spending most of his career in software development, Zach recently pivoted his focus to the sustainability sector, combining his expertise in technology with his passion for the environment. 

When not knee-deep in rice paddies, Zach divides his time between Tokyo, Japan, and Lusaka, Zambia.
