VP Venture Scale at ENGIE Factory and former co-founder of INSEACT
Tim van Vliet is an entrepreneur and investor with experience in building and financing ventures across Asia and Europe.
He co-founded INSEACT, a Singapore-based agritech company that converts palm oil by-products into insect protein for aquaculture feed. The company raised over US$1.3 million in seed funding and expanded operations across Southeast Asia before being acquired in 2023.
Earlier in his career, Tim founded Holland Milk, an infant nutrition company that developed and distributed European dairy products in China, and an e-commerce business focused on office furniture, which he established while still a student.
Tim is currently Vice President of Venture Scale at ENGIE Factory Asia-Pacific, the corporate venture arm of ENGIE Group, where he invests in and supports early-stage ventures. His work includes building and funding new ventures, as well as operational support to portfolio companies in the region.
He has experience across the full start-up lifecycle — from company formation and fundraising to exits — and combines operational and investment perspectives in his current role.
