Biography

Till Vestring is a senior adviser and non-executive director with extensive Asia experience.  He is Advisory Partner with Bain & Company in Singapore and serves as Lead Independent Director of Keppel Corporation (Singapore), He is also a Non-Executive Director with Advanced Micro Foundry (Singapore) and Delaware International (Belgium) and a former Non-Executive Director at Inchcape plc (UK).  He is also the lead investor in a sustainable tourism business in Cambodia, angel investor in a number of sustainability focused start-ups and a director with venture philanthropy Leap201.

He joined Bain in 1990 in Munich and has spent the last 25 years in Asia, with postings in Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo. He was Bain Southeast Asia’s managing partner from 2007 to 2013 and previously headed Bain’s Asia Pacific industrial practice.

Till has worked extensively with multinationals and Asian companies on strategy, sustainability, growth, M&A and merger integration, organization and performance improvement programs.

He has a Masters in Economics from the University of Bonn in Germany, an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley and is a graduate of INSEAD’s International Directors Program.

He has published widely in publications like the Harvard Business Review (“The battle for China’s good-enough market”), Sloan Management Review (“Making the move to low-cost countries”), Bain Briefs (“Asia’s Conglomerates: End of the Road?“, “Teaching Dinosaurs to Dance”) and others.
