Biography
Sven A. Kado is currently non-executive Chairman of Marsh and Mercer in Germany, after holding the position of Chairman since 2000.
Prior to this, he spent more than 20 years in board positions in the German industry: Nixdorf Computer AG (until then Germany's largest ever IPO, functional responsibility for controlling, finance, taxation, purchasing and real estate), Dyckerhoff AG (initiation and conclusion of acquisitions of cement companies in Poland, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg), Heimbach (general management responsibility for this leading "paper machine clothing" producer).
Previously, he was with Orion Bank in London and a predecessor of KPMG in Cologne.
Mr. Kado has a wide experience as a non-executive board member, chairman or advisor to both publicly quoted and private companies, financial institutions, academia, not for profit organizations and in the area of private equity investments.
His present responsibilities include Chairman of Compass Group Germany, Administrateur and Président Comité d'Audit AUSY S.A., Member Advisory Board of Treofan GmbH, Former Member of the Board, INSEAD and Member of the Advisory Council, INSEAD.
Mr Kado received an MBA with high distinction from INSEAD in 1972.
