Biography
Michael Fuerstein is Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Department of Philosophy at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. His work focuses on epistemological issues that arise in political and social contexts. He also has research interests in American Pragmatism and the moral dimensions of business.
Fuerstein is the author of Experiments in Living Together: Democracy and Social Progress, recently published by Oxford University Press, along with many scholarly articles. He serves on the editorial board for Political Philosophy and Academy of Management Review, and he has received fellowships, grants, and awards from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Mellon Foundation, the DeKarman Foundation, and the Institute for Humane Studies, among others.
