Mariana Ferreira Thiele is a Brazilian diplomat with 11 years of experience in international relations. Currently serving as the Head of the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Section and Trade Promotion Section at the Consulate General of Brazil in San Francisco, Mariana is at the forefront of Brazil’s diplomatic efforts to foster innovation and scientific collaboration in one of the world’s leading tech ecosystems. Mariana holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Law from the University of São Paulo, one of Brazil’s most prestigious academic institutions. Over the years, she transitioned her focus to science, technology, and innovation, leveraging her diplomatic expertise to bridge gaps and build partnerships in cutting-edge fields. Her recent work centers on promoting Brazil’s capabilities in innovation while exploring synergies with global partners.
