Laurent Blivet

Laurent Blivet is a member of the Financial Services, Financial Officer and Professional & IT Services practices. He specializes in recruiting senior-level executives for clients in Europe across a variety of financial services sectors, with a specific focus on insurance clients. With more than a decade of management consulting experience in this space, Laurent brings to his role an extensive network in the financial services industry and a deep knowledge of the finance function.

Consulting background with global perspective

• Before joining Spencer Stuart, Laurent was a principal at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). His assignments included strategic due diligence, post-merger integrations and human resources reorganizations for retail banking, investment banking, capital market infrastructure and insurance clients.
• During his 10-year tenure with BCG, his work spanned the globe: Laurent was based in Paris, but spent a year in Toronto and launched the firm’s business in Egypt. He also worked on numerous cross-border assignments.
• Laurent began his career at a startup company specializing in IT security and smart card technologies.

Laurent is a board director of the educational and human rights organization Humanity in Action France. He has also been an active contributor on economic, financial and social assignments to the Institut Montaigne, a leading French think tank. He holds an engineering degree from École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, and speaks fluent French, English and German.
