Executive Director, Cleantech
Ken Hayes helps start-ups grow, get funded and build value. As Executive Director since 2017 for the Cleantech Open business accelerator, he assists 100 environmental-tech startups and 250 entrepreneurs per year to gain funding and establish corporate partnerships. He leads over 1,000 volunteers in this national non-profit. Concurrently, he is Co-founder of Canyon Creek Capital's Fund II, a VC fund focused on SoCal tech startups from Seed to Series A, with 40+ deals since 2014, including early investments in companies such as Miso Robotics, Relativity Space, FIGS and Jukin Media. He is a Director Emeritus of the Pasadena Angels. Finally, Ken is a "recovering entrepreneur" who has built and sold several companies in Europe and the USA, after earning an MBA at INSEAD, and a BA at Pomona College.
