Chief Executive Officer, Uganda National Oil Company
Dr. Josephine Wapakabulo is the CEO of the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC), and the first woman inaugural CEO of a National Oil Company.
Josephine is also a non-executive Board Director of Finserve, a Fintech borne out of a deep-seated need to break down financial barriers in Africa using innovation and collaboration.
She has over 18 years' professional experience in multinational companies in various sectors including, Oil & Gas, Defence, Aerospace and IT consulting, and obtained her executive level experience in the UK, Germany, Australia and Uganda.
Josephine is a Chartered Engineer and holds a PhD in Information Science focused on “big data” and published a book on the adoption of data-exchange standards and knowledge management technologies in Defence and Oil & Gas companies. She obtained her Global Executive MBA from INSEAD business school in France.
