Chairman, Department of Community Development, Abu Dhabi
His Excellency Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili is a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council . He is also serving as the Chairman of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi since 2017, responsible for advancing Abu Dhabi’s social sector and building integrated communities to support the emirate’s economic and social development.
His Excellency is also the Chairman of the Wellbeing Committee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Family Care Authority, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination.
Additional duties and responsibilities include Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, and member of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Programme for Excellence and Societal Intelligence, His Excellency is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, Board of Trustees of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, and Digital Wellbeing Council.
His Excellency holds a PhD in Business Administration from Ain Shams University in Egypt.
HE received the Order of the Rising Sun Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon of his contributions to strengthening education relations between UAE and Japan.
