Biography

Claudia Stuckmann-Invernizzi brings 20 years of diverse public affairs and strategic stakeholder management experience to her role as Head of Public Affairs, International Operations, for Zoetis. Claudia gained her perspectives and insights on global public affairs from her roles & projects across various industries and institutions. She has worked in politics (European Parliament, Agriculture & Environment Committee); for corporations (BASF Plant Science, BASF Fine Chemicals, BASF Specialty Chemicals and Zoetis); for the German chemical & biotechnology industry trade association, and for a public affairs & communication consultancy firm.

Since 2013, Claudia has been Head of Public Affairs, International Operations, covering all markets outside the United States for Zoetis, the world’s leading animal health company. Zoetis discovers, develops, manufactures and markets veterinary vaccines, medicines and diagnostics, which are complemented by genetic tests, biodevices and a range of services.

In her current role, Claudia defines the public affairs strategy for International Operations and oversees the implementation of strategic stakeholder engagement across a variety of constituents and markets. Her objectives are to support a favourable operating environment for Zoetis and its customers; protecting and promoting Zoetis’ reputation; and build a better understanding of industry issues impacting Zoetis and its customers.

Claudia is a member of the Zoetis International Operations Leadership Team. She also represents Zoetis at the industry trade association AnimalhealthEurope, where she serves as Chairwoman of the Public Affairs Committee and represents Zoetis on the Management Committee.
Claudia was nominated as a candidate for the European Parliamentary elections in 2004 and 2009, and she was elected as a personal substitute to a Member of the European Parliament. In addition, she has held numerous leadership positions as chairwoman of international agricultural, environmental, and sustainability commissions at the non-governmental organization European Union of Women for more than a decade.

She holds a master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, UK; a master’s degree in Management from the Fernuniversität in Hagen, Germany, as well an INSEAD Executive Education Certificate in Global Management.

Claudia enjoys communicating with colleagues, stakeholders and friends in their native languages: German, English, French, Italian and Dutch. Claudia lives with her husband, their two children who are being raised multi-lingual as well as their family dog in the European capital, Brussels.
