Biography
Cecile Texier graduated as Civil Engineer in 1997 from Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne, France. She started her career as environmental management consultant at French National Institute for Environment and Risks (INERIS) in 1997. At that time, she was supporting industrial companies with the deployment of their environmental and safety management systems.
In 2000, she joined KPMG Sustainability Department and as a manager, was leading technical and financial assessments of environmental issues in the frame of merger and acquisition projects. She also managed verification of sustainability indicators for industrial (ex: Lafarge Ciments) and retail (Ex: Carrefour) customers.
After a break of one-year to complete a world-tour, she joined Alstom Group as Environment Health and Safety analyst in 2005, managing corporate Energy and CO2 programs and coordinating environmental reporting.
Based on this experience she was appointed in 2011 as Sustainability Director for Alstom Transport, in charge of the sustainability strategy definition, and environmental program deployment. She managed internal programs for continuous improvement of environmental performance and lead deployment of environmental liabilities management process. Jointly with marketing and sales community she integrated environmental aspects in business development.
She is a Member of the Board of Alstom Foundation.
Following transaction between Alstom and General Electric, Alstom scope has been refocused on Transport activities. Cecile is now Sustainability & CSR Vice-President of Alstom. She drives the Company's Sustainability and CSR strategy and policies, local communities investment program, compliance and annual reporting activities, sustainability in tenders, relationships with non-financial rating agencies and investors. She has been also appointed in January 2018 Global Diversity Champion of the Company
