In collaboration with the Blockchain Research Institute (BRI), a global think-tank conducting ground-breaking research on blockchain technology, and Coursera, the world’s leading online learning platform, INSEAD has developed Blockchain Revolution for the Enterprise. This four-course Specialisation is designed by Don Tapscott, Adjunct Professor at INSEAD and co-founder of the BRI, and is based on his ground-breaking research on Blockchain.
Blockchain is transforming almost every industry and managerial function and redefining the way of making transactions, sharing ideas, and managing workflows. This Specialisation, presented by the leading experts in education, blockchain and online learning, will prepare future business leaders to leverage this technology to create scalable business opportunities.

The Specialisation, exclusively available on Coursera, consists of four rigorous online courses: Introduction to Blockchain Technologies; Transacting on the Blockchain; Blockchain Applications in Business; and Blockchain Opportunity Analysis, a culminating capstone project. All coursework is completed online, giving working professionals the flexibility to fit learning into their busy schedules.
Unique features of the Specialisation:
- Principle-based approach to blockchain technology: In addition to understanding the fundamentals of what blockchain is and how it works, participants will be able to critically evaluate various claims, applications, use-cases, and implementation challenges of blockchain technology using seven design principles.
- Identify four broad categories of opportunity for blockchain technology: participants will be able to identify a specific problem within their own industry or market segment and describe how blockchain technology shows promise for solving it.
The depth and level of detail on the topics have leveraged many of BRI’s original research publications and case studies, which are provided complimentary to participants as part of the course readings and assessments.
