Journal Alerts

You can receive the table of contents of your favorite journals by email. You will find below instructions for the databases which offer this service.

EBSCO

EBSCOHost offers email alerts for every journal indexed in the following databases:

Access to Business Source Complete, eBook Collection, Econlit, GreenFILE, PsycARTICLES, PsycINFO, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, Regional Business News, and Sociological Collection. Databases can be searched individually or all at once. Allows personalization of interface and creation of search and journal alerts.

Optional login: Creating a personal login within EBSCOhost is optional (see "Sign in" at the top, then "Create a new account"); it allows extra features such as creating alerts and saving research.

Help guide to EBSCO databases (HTML)

Instructions for all the EBSCO databases:

  1. Sign in to My EBSCO Host or create an account.
  2. Click the Publications tab and search/browse the publications list.
  3. Click on the journal’s title.
  4. From the journal’s Publication Details screen, click on the three dots opposite the journal title.
  5. Click on Create alert
  6. Fill in the choices: length of alert, format of alert, email options, frequency etc.
  7. Click Create alert to save.

Business Source Complete

Business Source Complete

Articles from over 3500 academic and general business periodicals, as well as country reports, and company profiles.
Span: Many journals 1965 or volume 1 onwards.

N.B.: Five hundred articles from the Harvard Business Review can be viewed online but not printed or saved. Ask the Research & Learning Hub for assistance.

PsycARTICLES

Articles from 56 journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe Publishing Group.

Springer

Springer Nature Link and Nature.com offer email alerts for every journal indexed:

  1. Search for a journal or use the Springer journal A-Z or Nature journal A-Z
  2. Click on 'Sign up for alerts' option on the journal's homepage (after the overview).
  3. Enter your email address and click on Subscribe

Science Direct

ScienceDirect offers email alerts for journals to which we subscribe:

Articles from 2200 journals published by Elsevier, covering economics, business, management, computing, engineering and technology as well as the physical, social and behavioural sciences.

Span: Full-text available from 1995 onwards.

  1. Log in or create an account.
  2. Click on the journal title of your choice
  3. Click on Articles & Issues
  4. Click on Set up journal alerts (N.B. Only if we have a subscription)
