Asset & Liability Management - The Banker's Guide to Value Creation and Risk Control

Dermine J., Bissada Y. F. (2007).
Asset & Liability Management - The Banker's Guide to Value Creation and Risk Control.
 FT Prentice Hall.
Book
The purpose of this book is to study Asset & Liability Management (ALM) in banking. ALM includes a set of tools that ensure that value is created for shareholders and that risks are being put under control.

The pedagogy is unique with two self-contained vehicles : a book and a software. As the banking world is shifting from an overriding concern for balance sheet expansion to a preoccupation with rates of return on capital and risk control, knowledge of ALM is becoming a necessity for all bankers accountable for the results of a profit center. Asset & Liability Management is designed for corporate bankers, treasurers, head of retail branches, ALM specialists, and bank strategic planners. Central bankers, auditors, consultants, or lawyers will also appreciate the relevance of the book.
