Become a visionary leader that deliver results
At the end of the day, great leadership is about delivering results today and ensuring that they are sustainable for tomorrow. Leaders accomplish this by setting direction, mobilising commitment, navigating paradoxical pressures, and developing capabilities in others. The best leaders start by understanding how their own behaviour enables or constrains performance, and adapt their leadership skills as the business contexts, cultures, and environments change.
Leading for Results is a leadership development programme designed to sharpen participants' personal leadership approach to deliver greater performance in complex globalised business environments. Participants will learn how to create a compelling vision that inspires and mobilises others to perform beyond expectations while identifying blind spots and understanding how they show up as leaders under real-world pressure.
By combining deep self-insight with rigorous experimentation and coaching, participants develop the core leadership capabilities to create and sustain performance through periods of change, conflict, or crisis. The programme equips leaders to translate insight into decisive action and execution, creating a culture of achievement that supports long-term growth and the development of future generations of leaders.
Key learning concepts in the programme curriculum
Leading for Results transforms experienced managers into result-focused visionary leaders through four steps of leadership development:
- Preparation: Assess how your leadership style currently enables or constrains performance. Through a detailed self-reflection and 360-degree feedback tool, identify your strengths and development opportunities to create a focused baseline for development.
- Orientation: Explore the important concepts and frameworks needed to be a visionary leader in a complex business environment. The focus is on how leadership behaviour shapes execution and outcomes.
- Experimentation: Be supported by INSEAD's executive coaches to examine your leadership behaviours under pressure and test alternative approaches.
- Integration: Translate insight into a focused personal action plan. Follow‑up coaching supports application in the workplace and sustained performance improvement.

How is this programme different from INSEAD The Leadership Transition programme?
-
While both are leadership development programmes, they are designed for different career moments.
- Leading for Results focuses on helping experienced managers deliver stronger performance by shaping their leadership behaviour, mobilising teams, and sustaining results in complex environments.
- The Leadership Transition is designed for professionals preparing to move from a managerial role into a more strategic, executive leadership role, with an emphasis on building influence, expanding leadership scope, and navigating that career shift.
In short, Leading for Results is about driving performance in your current leadership role, while The Leadership Transition is about preparing for your next leadership level.
