Biography

Silvia is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Economics at the Stone Centre for the Study of Wealth Inequality at INSEAD. She holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Munich (LMU), and bachelor’s degrees in Law and Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

Her research focuses on organizational and development economics. She collaborates with organizations to better understand how culture and workplace dynamics influence individual well-being and productivity. She conducts large-scale field experiments in diverse contexts, with projects in Nepal, Bangladesh, Uganda, Somaliland, Germany, the United States, and South Korea. Her partners include Novartis, BRAC, Oxfam, Centenary Bank, Oxfam, and Siemens Stiftung. Silvia’s work has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Development Economics and World Development.

At INSEAD, Silvia works closely with Professor Maria Guadalupe. She is also a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Munich (LMU).
