Matteo Devigili joined INSEAD as a Postdoctoral Researcher in October 2024. He is nearing the completion of a PhD in Strategy from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) and holds a master's degree in Management from the University of Siena.
At INSEAD, Matteo collaborates with Professors Vibha Gaba, Henrich R. Greve, and Erdem Dogukan Yilmaz to investigate the interplay between artificial intelligence and organizational dynamics. Matteo's research focuses on the organization and functioning of online communities, with a particular emphasis on open-source software. By studying coordination and control, Matteo investigates how individuals interact in the absence of formal authority and the resulting effects on social structure formation, and on the emergence and valuation of innovation.
