Molin enrolled in a double-diploma program during his undergraduate studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, spending two years at Centrale Supélec in France. He then returned to Shanghai to pursue a master’s degree. During this period, he collaborated with a domestic engine manufacturer to design flexible scheduling algorithms, which ignited his passion for operations research and operations management. Additionally, he gained valuable experience through internships at Cardinal Operations and Alibaba Group, where he deepened his understanding of scheduling and pricing strategies.
Molin's current research interests lie in revenue management and pricing optimisation, as well as sustainable operations management. He is particularly passionate about the dynamics of pricing problems, such as incentive design, multi-product pricing and dynamic pricing, in online platforms. He is also interested in the sustainable development of platform economies, especially in terms of social responsibility and energy-efficient technologies.
