Biography

LLB Law, Fudan University;

MA Economics, University of Michigan

Minqi’s academic training spans law, economics, and management. She has worked as a research assistant at Peking University, Ross Equitable Opportunity Lab, and INSEAD, contributing to theory-driven empirical projects that leverage large-scale datasets and computational methods. Her research examines how structurally constrained actors—particularly non-elite entrepreneurs—navigate complex environments when traditional pathways to opportunity are limited. She is particularly interested in how such actors build visibility and legitimacy, and how these processes are reshaped by technological change.
