Mr. Philippe Houzé joins the INSEAD board of directors

INSEAD, one of the best business schools in the world, announces today the nomination of Mr. Philippe Houzé, Executive Chairman of the Galeries Lafayette group, as new member of the school’s Board of Directors, under the leadership of its newly appointed Chairman of the Board Mr. Andreas Jacobs. Mr.Houzé was Vice-President of ‘Fondation INSEAD’ until December 11, 2014. In parallel, he will remain President of the INSEAD Council in France, which he has been heading since April 2013, and whose goal is to encourage the prominence of the school and increase its visibility both in France and globally through its 25 National Councils

Mr. Philippe Houzé graduated from INSEAD in 1974 and began his career at Monoprix in 1969 where he served as Chief Executive Officer (1982-1994) and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (1994-2012). He was Co-Chairman of Galeries Lafayette group from 1998 to 2004 before becoming Executive Chairman in 2005.
