INSEAD to host India business dialogue in Mumbai

Event to address ‘Entrepreneurial Leadership: Driving India’s Growth’

INSEAD, the leading international business school, in conjunction with Eruditus, INSEAD’s executive education partner in India, will present the INSEAD India Business Dialogue at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai on 25 February 2012. The event, ‘Entrepreneurial Leadership: Driving India’s Growth,’ will address the region’s long-term growth prospects and how business leaders can capitalise on growth opportunities.

‘As the last decade has shown, India’s growth prospects remain strong.  While rapid growth presents a  huge opportunity for Indian firms, it also presents many challenges  including the relative dearth of entrepreneurial general managers who can provide the strong business leadership required to successfully capitalise on growth opportunities,’ said Dipak C. Jain, Dean of INSEAD.

Jain continued: ‘As the Business School for the World, INSEAD aims to participate in a sustainable way in the India growth story. The INSEAD India Business Dialogue will help business leaders understand the challenges and opportunities that are sure to come their way.’

Chaitanya Kalipatnapu, co-founder and Director of Eruditus, added:  ‘Eruditus is delighted to partner with INSEAD for the event. The Dialogue presents a rich opportunity for interaction between INSEAD executive education participants, alumni, business leaders and industry stalwarts.’

The programme will bring together INSEAD professors and established speakers to lead about 200 senior business and media executives as well as INSEAD alumni from around India and the world, for a day of debate and discussion around entrepreneurial leadership and India’s growth prospects. The sessions include dialogues with successful business leaders, panel discussions as well as many networking opportunities.

Speakers include Adi Godrej, Chairman Godrej Group,  Dipak C. Jain, Dean of INSEAD; Dinesh Dayal, COO, L’Oreal and President of the INSEAD Alumni Association, India; Raj Jain, CEO Bharti Walmart; Rajiv Verma, CEO HT Media Limited; Dhanpal Jhaveri, Partner and CEO, Everstone Capital; VSS Mani, Founder and CEO, Just Dial Limited; Paddy Padmanabhan, Professor of Marketing, INSEAD; Bala Vissa, Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship, INSEAD; and Claudia Zeisberger, Affiliate Professor of Decision Sciences and Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise, INSEAD.

The INSEAD India Business Dialogue is held in conjunction with the INSEAD Leadership Programme for Senior Indian Executives (ILPSIE) and Eruditus.
