Xinyu is an Assistant Professor of Technology & Operations Management at INSEAD.
She studies how individuals and organizations make operational decisions and how those decisions can be improved. She uses data-driven methods, including causal inference, field experiments, and applied machine learning. Her research examines behavior and human-AI collaboration across operational contexts such as healthcare, sustainability, retail, and the public sector.
She works closely with industry partners and frontline professionals and has advised healthcare organizations, HealthTech companies, and pharmaceutical firms. Her research has also informed policy design at both the federal and organizational levels.
She holds a Ph.D. in Technology and Operations from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Prior to her academic career, she worked at companies including McKinsey & Company, IQVIA, and Baidu.
