Martin Aragoneses in an Assistant Professor of Finance. He joined INSEAD in 2024 after obtaining a PhD from the Harvard Economics Department and Harvard Business School. At INSEAD, Martin teaches MBA Corporate Financial Policy and is a faculty affiliate at the Economics of Innovation Lab.
Martin’s research studies the life cycle of the firm in macroeconomics and finance. He combines economic theory with confidential data to understand how startup activity and the dynamism of firms of different ages shape the economy. In ongoing work, Martin explores the role of financial markets in fueling the growth of young firms.
Martin has received several awards including the Harvard Business School Dean’s Award and the La Caixa Fellowship awarded by the King of Spain. He also fundraised for a charity supporting suicide loss survivors while running the Boston Marathon. Martin is passionate about tennis, road cycling, and fine wine.
