Ilgin is an Assistant Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD.
Prior to joining INSEAD, she received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley. During her time at Berkeley, she gained industry experience working with the Infrastructure Strategy Data Science team at Meta and the Advanced Analytics, Business Process Re-engineering team at Apple. She also holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the Middle East Technical University.
Ilgin’s research designs stochastic, data-driven models and computational algorithms for operations management involving strategic agents with information asymmetries. She is particularly interested in exploring applications in environmental sustainability analytics, where she specializes in formulating sustainable business operations that proactively mitigate intricate information gaps and dynamic disruptions driven by the climate crisis.
