Biography

Aldona Kapačinskaitė is an Assistant Professor of Strategy at INSEAD. She holds a PhD in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from London Business School. She teaches the MBA Strategy Core Course.

Her research examines how firms allocate resources and manage proprietary information amidst shifting competitive and intellectual property environments. Her work has been published in Strategic Management Journal, Management Science, and Administrative Science Quarterly and has been supported by the Strategy Research Foundation. The studies span sectors such as energy, digital platforms, and pharmaceuticals, among others. In 2022, she won the Best Dissertation Award in the Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) Division and was a finalist in the Strategic Management (STR) Division for the Wiley Blackwell Award at the Academy of Management.

She serves on the Editorial Review Boards of Strategic Management Journal and Organization Science, and on the Executive Committee of the AOM STR Division. She is a Representative-at-Large for the SMS Entrepreneurship and Strategy Interest Group. Previously, she served on the TIM Executive Committee and was a Thomas Edison Innovation Law and Policy Fellow at the Center for Intellectual Property and Innovation Policy.
