Biography

Erik van de Loo is affiliate professor Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD.

He is co-founder and co-director of the INSEAD Executive Masters in Change, based on a system-psychodynamic approach.

He previously held professorships at Free University Amsterdam and TIAS at University Tilburg in the Netherlands as well as UniRazak University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He has studied clinical psychology and philosophical antropology (cum laude) at Radboud University Nijmegen, became Doctor in Social Sciences at Leiden University (1987) and obtained a masters in Work, Organization and Health at SIOO (1998).

He completed trainings to become a licensed psychotherapist (1999) and psychoanalyst at the Dutch Psychoanalytic Society (2000).

His recent research and publications are about the transgenerational impact of collective trauma on the development of leader values, unconscious phantasy patterns in leaders, (un)conscious board dynamics and leadership processes in hospitals.
